# Contact Chris Ballam

Have a question, a travel tip, or a note about something you found on the site? Send a message with the form below and it lands straight in my inbox. Whether you’re planning a first big family trip, trying to stretch a tight travel budget, packing for a backpacking route, or getting a son or daughter ready for a mission, I’m glad to help where I can.

I answer every message personally — there’s no team or auto-responder here. I’m Chris Ballam, a dad of four who has traveled 29 countries across 6 continents, and I write about the trips, gear, and photography behind them here at ChrisBallam.com. If I’ve already covered your question somewhere on the site, I’ll point you to the guide; if not, I’ll do my best to give you a straight, useful answer.

**What you can write to me about:**

- **Family travel** — planning trips with kids, from long-haul flights to road trips.
- **Budget travel** — cheaper flights and lodging, and practical ways to travel for less.
- **Travel photography** — gear, camera settings, and getting better shots on the road.
- **Backpacking & the outdoors** — routes, permits, and packing, including Pioneer Trek, Wyoming’s Wind River Range and Utah’s Coyote Gulch.
- **LDS missionary prep** — packing lists and practical advice for elders and sisters.
- **The site itself** — corrections, broken links, photo-use requests, or partnership ideas.
